The Victim & Witness Assistance & Law Enforcement fund has been created specifically for the purpose of supporting and assisting victims and witnesses of crime. KIDPOWER of Colorado Springs is the local center of KIDPOWER International , a 501 (c)(3), not-for-profit, charitable organization, founded in 1989 in Santa Cruz, California. The Colorado Springs Center was established in 1994 to provide comprehensive safety education and confidence-building skills to children ages 3-18 and their families. KIDPOWER’s mission is to teach young people to use their own power to stay safe from abuse, assault and abduction.
